Well my husband was transferred to Staton today--he was able to call at 10pm and let me know that they had moved him. (They were nice enough to let him use the guards phone in the office):)

He says the move is a good thing. We are still waiting on an answer from the parole board if he will be reinstated. We will know the answer on the 13th of July, or so I was told by the secretary.

I guess my question is--does anyone know the visitation for Staton, or how long it will take him to get a phone list established?

I do not know anything about Alabama's prison system, but I personally would call where he is at and speak to his case worker. They should be able to answer your questions you might have. Sorry I could not be of more help. But at least this way you could have your questions answered. Maybe someone will be along shortly that knows about Alabamas DOC. Good luck and hopefully he will have his parole reinstated before you know it and you will never have to visit or except another collect call. He will be home. Good luck

Usually the phone list takes 3 or 4 days and the visitation list a couple of weeks.

Do you have his AIS # and his bed and dorm number? You can look up his AIS # on the Alabama DOC website. If you don't have his dorm and bed number you could call the prison and ask them for it.
