My husband is still waiting to be transferred to a prison for a 5 year sentence (he's in county jail right now) He's Chinese but is a permanent resident and has been for 18 years now. I wonder if any of you have experiences with INS hearings and how frequently people are able to make a case to avoid deportaion....
Also, when does the INS hearing take place....early on in the process or does it take a long time?
