Hello everyone,
how is visiting at MC (and what times)? Does it take long to process and about how long is it from processing to actually visiting our loved ones? No one I know is there, yet, i'm just trying to find out some information about it because this may be my transfer option.
Also how is the Sensitive Needs program? Are the CO's there pretty decent?
Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Hi! Mule Creek visitng is one of the best I have experienced and I have been to few California prisons. The processing is very quick..I can honetly say I have never waited more than 30 mintues to get processed. On the down side due to the number of visitors at Mule Creek visits get terminated. I usually get about 2 hours with my husband. If you come from over 250 miles and only come every 30 days then you wont get terminated. Visiting is Saturday and Sunday from 8:30am to 3:00pm. Looks like Friday visiting will begin on July 7, 2006 and will be from 1:30pm-7:30pm. There are restrictions for Friday visiting though. They must be in good standing wtih no write ups and a few other things.
COs are COs and you have good ones and bad ones. I have seen that everywhere. In my experience at Mule Creek I would say that I have dealt with more good than bad.
My husband says that sensetive needs yards for the most part are calm. People here just want to do there time with no complications. Now we have to remember this is a prison so things still do happen but not to the extend as a general population yard.
Hope this informatin helps.

ya I met someone who was locked up there and dated him for about 6 yrs and i went every single weekend for about 5 of those years (it was a half hour away) and I think i got terminated ONCE. It was a very nice and upbeat atmosphere and since it was my first prison visit, i was not disappointed

I was going to post a question about visiting but then I saw this thread. Thank you all so much for the info. I will be visiting my son at mc for the first time this weekend. I am coming from Santa Clarita CA and it is a 6 and half hour drive one way so I hope they don't terminate us early. I haven't hugged my son in over two years. This is his ninth lock up. I miss him so much and I am looking forward to a contact visit.

Judy - You shouldn’t be terminated if you are over 250 miles, which I believe you are. If you visit every 30 days you are considered a non-termination and can not be terminated. You are considered a non-termination for the entire weekend not just the first day you visit.
Have a wonderful visit!

Judy - welcome and good luck with the drive! We have a thread called Where the Creek Meet to Greet where we hang out and discuss all kinds of things. Please feel free to join us. We're a loving, zany bunch and love having new people join the group. If you need any assistance in how to find the prison, where to park, what to wear, what time to be there and such, please come to the thread I just mentioned. You will get all sorts of helpful information from us - probably more than you wanted! :haha:
Joanna - thanx bunches for giving Judy the info on visiting over 250 miles and most likely putting a smile on her face. You always do that for us!
