 OK, I'm keeping my patience...And I promise not to vent too much...I got a letter from Randy saying that I am approved and my son's step Grama was denied...She has never been arressted at all for anything...The only thing we could think is she was on her son's list 3 years ago in Missouri State...Could that be? Also Randy, being in pc is in SHU...What's that? Visitation only on Mondays...No problem on that but is it more than just an hour or so? What channels do I need to take, to find out, or make a request for visiting as long as possible, seeing we are traveling a distance...HELP!;)

hey again! sorry about all the problems you are having and i am not sure i will be of much help - but i do know in the low and in the camp there the only thing you can bring is 20.00 in small bills, your keys, and your id - PLEASE DRESS CONSERVATELY! (who knows if i spelled that right!) and bring some extra clothes just in case...you can go on the bop website and get the phone number to down there and ask them any questions you may have....i want to say shu is the hole? i could be wrong but i don't think i am....if i were you i would def call down there before monday - hope you have a good visit and things start looking up for you!

Hey you!:) ...thanx for the info...I think I figured it out it's the Segregated Housung Unit Sounds good to me...I'm just afraid I'll only have a couple of hours,,,But that's better than none at all. I guess...Tired and pissed off ...This Forrest City Prison Med. just makes me crazy...From my experience these past few months, I don't see any rules of polocies being followed.

Your son's step-grandma was not told why she was denied permission to visit? She could try calling the unit counselor and ask for the reason. And yes, SHU stands for Segregated Housing Unit. Inmates can be there for either administrative segregation or disciplinary segregation. Sounds like your guy is in administrative segregation. Perhaps if she finds out the reason, she can provide more information or something that might change their minds. Also, I don't know about the medical facilities but perhaps only immediate family is allowed to visit?? Z.

Visiting is from 8am to 3pm........I have noticed that anywhere from 2-2:30 they start taking the inmates from the SHU back a little early, but you should still get a fair and decent amount of visitation time. Sorry about Grandma.......they should have a reason for visitation denial.
