:o someone please help me
my man just got transfered. I didn't get approved at his previous prison because we didn't know each other prior to his jail time. Well my question is does the prison he transfred to contact the one he was at before. I never been in any trouble and have no record. he has had no vistors since his time started. I called his previous prison and asked them why did they say that there is an exception to the rule if the inmate has nad no vistors. My mans couselor said oh well we never do that. so why does it say that on bop website then. well i just sent off my form the other day and i'm praying that i get approved. I put something different on there so i want to know if i got denied at his old prison would the one he is at right now have any way of finding that out. I really want to see my baby. once denied do they keep that on file or what? I really want to see my man. please someonehelp me out

Well for starters I hope the detail that was different on this letter from the other was NOT a lie....Because if they do keep it on record and check because its the FEDS they can try n give you a problem if they like..The things that they do never cease to amaze me...
I never heard of that..being denied because you didnt know him...
My Love is in the FEDS and there are a few inmates in there that get visits from chicks that they hooked up with while doing their time...
When you called the new facility did you ask them if there would be a problem since you did not know him b4??
Or even if he never had visits before..Certain people werent on my baby's visiting list until he sent visitors forms to add them...So I would research some more...
His visits weren't restricted right?

The BOP policy mandates that visitation approval requires knowing the inmate prior to incarceration. Any exceptions must be approved by the warden. This is true in EVERY facility regardless of level of security.

Providing false statements on the visitation form could result in a fine of not more than $250,000 and imprisonment of not more than 5 years.

I expect, if you put on this most recent application that you knew him prior to entering prison, that you meant you knew him prior to him entering this PARTICULAR prison he's in now, right? I expect they do keep your application and any correspondence from the previous prison in his file, which goes with him to the new facility. Each warden/counselor is different, so if you get denied at this facility, you should have HIM request that you be put on his visiting list because he has no other visitors. This facility might approve it - but they won't if they've caught you lying on your form.

I don't know how much looking into things they do. I do know that I was first denied seeing my man because i had just been on someone elses list even though that person was no longer in prison. It still showed me in the system as being there so hard telling what it shows in the "system" Good luck with it though
