the camp is on lock down till further notice.
Because some dummy brought in a cell phone in and they broke into the snack machine. we all now have to pay with no more vists till further notice.

The cops should be looking for the "fat guy."

Matt told me that all the locks on all the snack machines were meticulously drilled out, all cash and grub removed. Then, on one of the ranges, the CO's took a mirror off the wall and found a bunch of contraband, most importantly, cell phones.

And I could have seen him Saturday and Tuesday, since it's a Federal Holiday.

Most guys at a camp just want to do their time and come home. Just like it's only 2% of CO's who are heartless, it's only 2% of campers who should never have been allowed out of the medium that ruin it for everyone.

Prison sucks.

Still no good news about visits at Schuylkill Camp. Sigh.

I don't understand why they do this and punish everyone. I read where they encourage family and friends to visit and then they do this. I'm scared to drive 9 hours to Atlanta Satellite Camp to see my son because if I drive all that way and they are on lockdown I'll have to be put in jail!!! It would really p--s me off to dissapoint a little five year girl who wants to see her daddy. I will call before I leave the house and verify that there is going to visitation. My son said 6 people failed breathalyzer tests at 4:00 am so they took away 4th of July visit. Now, if they caught the ones who were drinking why punish everyone! Very unfair!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope you get to see your loved ones soon.

Just recieved a call from my son we have visits back on the 8th. I pray that they caught who ever did this mess. The majority of men that are there just want to do there time and come home. I can't wait till tis nightmare is over.

Did the lockdown apply to just the camp or the medium as well? Can you guys tell me a little bit more about this bus? I will be taking my boyfriend to Schuylkill to self surrender in 2 weeks. What do I need to know about the place? Who are the other Schuylkill folks on here?

The lockdown originated at the camp, but the medium was affected too, God knows why.

Is your boyfriend going to the camp or the medium?

We are thinking that he is going to the medium, but when he called this morning the lady said she couldn't tell him for sure yet. I guess we will have to wait until the papers arrive.

Also, once I take him, will I be able to go back into town in Minersville somewhere and send him some money via Western union so that he will be able to get things from the commisary?

And is it true that he will be stuck in the hole for 10 days while they get a place ready for him?

i think if you have his "register #" which will be on the PSR, and his other official paperwork, you can send it even before he gets there. check BOP.gov, "inmate matters," and "inmate money."

send a PM if you want.

also, i looked into western union, found it to cost like $12 - $20, when you can get a money order for 69 cents at a quickie mart and just mail it.

I was doing QuickCollect with Western Union and it really gets expensive. I worried about sending a money order but it went from Florida to Iowa and got to him within a few days. Really quicker than I thought it would. Maybe the first time you could do the Western Union so it would get there almost instantly. I've started with sending it once a month now with money orders and it's working fine. Here's the address:

Federal Bureau of Prisons
Insert Valid Committed Inmate Name
Insert Inmate Eight Digit Register Number
Post Office Box 474701
Des Moines, Iowa 50947-0001All the info is at bop.gov My son's was there before he self-surrendered. As far as "the hole" my son said he was there in the Atlanta one for a few days until he got into the camp. He wasn't there that long though. Hope this helps a bit. It's tough but we'll all get through it! I just keep telling myself that it may have saved his life and now he can turn it around. :)
