 Congradulations to you. Have you visited your mate @ the prison bfore. If so the dress code is just the same. My husband & I was married @ Jamestown December 16th 2005. I was so excited & thought that we were going to get to visit for a while & all that, but no. hey call by numbers just like normal. Once all the people are in the visiting room, they start the ceremonies & I belive they went by last name. Once all the ceremonies are done. You have to leave. You only get that little time to talk & visit while the other ceremonies are being performed. So no need for $$ & all that. They didnt even have anything in the machines when we went. Good Luck & I wish you two the best. God Bless!!!! :grouphug:

Hi,

I got married at jamestown and the same rules apply to clothing. They were a little less strict on the wedding day but things still can't be too low cut. BUt people wore white pants and what not or off white dresses and stuff but it still can't be sleeveless, or low cut. It's really tough to find something white or something that will fit all of the rules of the clothes you can wear. Good luck and congrats!!

I got married 3/9/06 this year at Jamestown. Like what the rest said standard visiting rules apply. I wore the ivory suit from Victoria secrets with some hot heels and a cute top under the blazer and it got me in just fine and I was able to look cute for my honey. :)

Congrats!!!!!!!

I got married on march 17th 2005. One girl wore a see through dress, and another girl work a sleeveless dress, but she had a little jacket with it. I just wore a pants outfit. We got to visit an hour after, they had a pow wow that day. We were lucky to get to talk to each other an hour after, and even got to have a cheese cake together.

Lucky you ANGLEHEART, my date is Dec. 14. We applied for our packet too late for the Sept. 14 wedding. Can someone please tell me why they marry on a thursday? I plan on just wearing some cute pants and nice shirt or sweater since it will be cold and some heels or boots. Hopefully, we'll get a little time together afterwards at least just to take some pics.

I got married December 15th, 2005 at SCC and I don't know exactly why they do it on a thursday but they've always done it on a thursday every quarter. They can't do it on the weekends because of regular visiting. And they pretty much do the marriages in alphabetical order and once they're done with everyone, you leave. They don't give you time to chill with them. Sorry.

Well congrats... I also got married on the 14th of sep. I got there at like 1:10 instead of 12:30; all because my mom left our IDs in the truck in stockton so we had to drive all the way back (which is not too far but it's still a drive) so you can imagine how he was. It was a different experience, but good one. Specially with our story. We meet when he was at Wayside a month after he got sentenced. And not even a year later we married... life is weird but I love it!

I know how you feel. When I reeived he phone call, and was told what time to be there and all I had forgot the date completely. My husband was also on lockdown. I thought I wasn't going to make it since I got there like 30 minutes later. But thank god I made it.
