-Can anyone tell me about there first experience with trailers at Eastern Correctional?

-How was the process for photos to be taken? Before trailer date? Or on the same day of trailer visit?

The reason why I ask is, because I already had a visit with the chaplain, and wanted to know if Eastern takes there photos before or during your first day for the trailers. My Husband has told me that it occurs on the first day of your trailer. Could that be possible? Because, from what I recall, other facilities either do them only on weekdays or weekends. Can anyone offer suggestions?

it depends on how far away you are from eastern. ms m took mine the day of the frp. if you close i think you have to go up. bring all your i.d

Thank you for the advice. However, I live about 1 and 45 minutes, and I'm coming from the city. I just hope that when she does call I don't have to go up there just for that. I work on weekdays it would be impossible for me.

Trailers there were really nice.Very relaxing setting. They took my pics the first day of the trailer,but I am out of state. They are pretty flexible, just have all your ID then,and enjoy.You will get your next date then too,well at least they used to do that.

I took mine the day of our FRP. There was another woman there who had forgotten to take hers the first FRP so she had to do it on the 2nd one which was my 1st.

Yes you can still go right into the office after you get off the van and get your date for the next one.
That's what I did and the the first thing im going to do when i get there this time.

Thank you for the information. It is really helpful for me being that I'm first time to trailers and coming far. Also, did anyone call in to schdule trailers or were you called? How long did it take for your first trailer so they would contact you for your first dates?

The reason why I say Thursday and Friday's would be, because she had informed me that on those two days of the week she gets all the applications back for calling and scheduling trailer dates. So, if you are going to call; try calling those two days. That is of course, if your Husband is in Eastern. Good Luck! :) :) :)

Fridays the ms. m is not there, dont call on friday.
yes my husband is in Eastern max but ms. m coordinates both the max and the annex.

Thanks for the info. the FRP lady from Albany was just here at my house yesterday, today being a holiday I don't know if I should call this week or next?

I would wait til next week but after i had my home visit i waited another 2 or 3 weeks before the facility got it back and she gave me the date.

It takes about 2-3 weeks for the the FRP Coordinator to receive your application and then to contact you. As for me, I'm aware that anywhere on Mondays and Thursdays are the best time to call to follow up with the coordinator. Good luck and hope al goes well!:)

Yes, I'm aware that Mrs. Milewski is not there on Friday's. That why she prefers for anyone to call to be either Monday's or Thursday's.

Didn't want anyone to get mixed up with the days, her office is opened Mon-Thursday. Her secretary is just as helpful also.;)

At Eastern you can take family pics inside the trailors as well during your frp but your husband has to purchase the film prior to the visit I believe 2 weeks...

faithful, i think what lachula was asking is about the picture they take to ID you and keep in your file.

Hey everyone thank you for your inouts and suggestions. About 2 weeks ago I received a phone call from the FRP Coordinator on a Thursday to schdule our first date. I was not expecting for the call to be so fast despite the fact that it had only been a matter of days since the Chaplain visited me. I will be taking the photos the same day of my first trailer, in which I think is good. Only 3 months to go before out 1st Trailer!!!!!
