Last Saturday (Atlanta Journal and Contitution) reported the indictment of Bobby Whitworth on charges of corruption. He and former Parole board head hancho, Walter Ray, were asked to step down when reports were out that they were getting kickback from independent Probation companies who were contracted by the state..Look it up...AJC has a nice web page and easy to access 7 days of info....My take on Whitworth from insiders in Atlanta was that he was a power hungry , controling prick!
This may sum up a big part of the entire juticial system of the state of Georgia and explains why parole is hard to come by in the peach state....monies are being made thru incarceration.:( of citizens that don't count to the ones in power. But they at least got one of them who thought he was above the law...Now the big question....will they have the balls to make him pay FOR HIS CRIME! They offered him a $50,000 fine and 5 years probation....he said no and says he didn't commit a crime....Sounds like a sudam mentallity to me...Many books have been written on how power corrupts the mind and the ability to rationalize evilness.

He will probably get off and if he were to be convicted, he won't be treated the same as other prisoners anyway.

IF THEY ARE GUILTY THEY SHOULD BE SENTENCED ACCORDINGLY. BUT REALITY IS IT'S WHO YOU KNOW, HOW MUCH MONEY YOU HAVE THAT DICTATES YOUR DESTINY.
