I heard a rumor that at least in one federal prison they are getting email, anyone know if this is true?

I believe there may be more than 1, but currently I know Coleman has pilot program.

Yes there are email pilot programs. My friend is in Victorville and we've been emailing for months now.

If you back up on this forum and to the General Federal Prison Talk section, you will see a "Sticky" near the top which explains the TRULINCS email program. It started as a pilot program in one prison and now it is in several camps and FCI's I believe. The inmate is NOT online and the emails can be read by prison staff. It just saves the mailroom from opening envelopes. Zelda
