My girlfriend, (and previous wife) was just sentenced to 4 years DOC in colorado. It sucks, we just get back together and boom she's gone! She was sentenced in mid july 2003 for(munufacturing & Distributing sched 2) which she got a (class 4 felony) and has not yet been taken to prison yet which sucks cuz we want touchably visits, not through glass. Oh well we can live through i'm sure. Even tho she hasnt been to the state yet to get her # or whatever and that paper which gives max out and parol dates, Was wonderin how long she will actually do? Any wisdom here? I hope about a year or less. I know they give you 50% off right away if your good according to all the web sights i've reasearched, Then theres earned time too which apparently cant be calculated by anyone but the state! And all the PRE credit she will have earned from Feb 15th till she actually gets there. By the way this is her 1st prison trip! I love this woman but this sux! Well more later i guess

I can't tell you how much time she will actually do! I am on the other side of the fence because my husband has been incarerated for 12 year and I know how difficult and how much stress that this puts on you but all I can say is to stay tough and continue to ask questions and keep the communication open with her. Please feel free to respond because I have been fighting the system for years! Good luck and God Bless!

Depending on how much times she does, will determend what changes there will be.

The reality is, a person is living in an envirment that isn't normal and with people they just as soon not be around. That in it's self has to have some effect.

The important thing is to keep in close contact with her, so she stays in contact with the outside world and you.

Stang, have her look into a drug program while she is inside. Not sure in her case but I know through the feds that it takes time off for compleating a drug awareness class. Best of luck to you and your girl and if she ever needed you she needs you more now.
