upon arrival at Tutwiler, you will be is issue a packet information.

Ther is a Visition/Funds List, along with a personal history sheet.

Make sure you fill out your personal history sheet and turn it in with your vistation list. NO visition will be accpepted without a personal history sheet.

You are allowed 8 visitors on your list. You may place only immediate family on your list, to include husband, mom,dad,brother/sister, children, Grandchildren, son/daughter-in-law. these are considered immediate family. you may choose to list on one of these as a friend.

You are allowed one "freind" to come and visit. If you are married only a female friend is allowed.

You must provide the following information for each person listed: name, address, relation,SSN#( a must)Phone number,and a drivers or non- driver's licnse number.

IF ANY FAMILY MEMBER IS AN EX-FELON, YOU MUST LIST IT AS SO. IF YOU PUT DOWN A VISITOR, AND IT IS DISCOVERED THAT HE/SHE IS AN EX-FELON, DISCIPLNARY ACTION WILL BE TAKEN.

Thanks so much for posting this. Tutwiler seems to be very restrictive. I don't understand why only immediate family and one friend can visit, and that friend has to be female if you are married. And only 8 vistors allowed on your list. I wonder if all prisons are this restrictive? My ex-husband is my best friend, (as well as my husband's best friend) and one of my biggest supporters. I can't believe he won't be allowed to visit. I was counting on him being able to bring my daughter to visit, she is only 16, and I don't want her to have to deal with visitation alone. I wonder if there is any way around this?
