He just kept getting depressed over everything and no matter what I said it just didn't do anygood. Then late yesterday after not seeing his children
I found him outside passed out where he tried to cut his wrist so I immediately called 911 and with a quick response they came to get him to
hospital and was kept there till a behavior hospital could take him. I came home to get some rest and items for him and will take off to the place where he is at.....for over 2 months now been waiting on a bed for him in
rehab facility and no word from them....so I wonder when my problems will
ever let up....one son in correctional facility and other one almost commited sucide. I will try to keep all updated on my problems and hopefull somewhere a end to this soon. A mother's love is like a rose is never fades. God Bless All.........mother1952

to mother1952: i also have a son that almost tryed to kill him self he is going threw alot my mother raised him to age7 them his father took over then i got him back at age 12 his father got sick and past away 2 years ago in april and then my mother past away in may and my son took it very hard started hanging around with the wrong crowd now he's lockup.

BaldwinLady, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Let me first suggest, since your son is in the hospital, to get him evaluated by Mental Health. I don't mean anything by that, you can actually get him help by having him committed through your local Probate Judge of Baldwin County. Meaning you may be able to get him help for his depression and also his addiction. I am praying for you and your family!

Update on my son he is in the Walker Baptist Behavior unit in Jasper. I haven't seen him since he went in only talked couple of times. They are
very strict only 1 hr per day visiting and phone calls are 1 hr 4 times a day. If you visit you do not carry anything in with you except car keys and all their personal belonging are searched before they can have it. I did
talk to a nurse yesterday and ask her what all they did she said put them on meds,doctor will assest them,a social worker comes sees them and that is all I know. When I called today he was in xrays so it will be this afternoon before I hopefully can talk to him. Also the doors to the unit is kept locked and you have to push a button and a nurse comes ask for your name,whom you are visiting and makes sure you have nothing with you. I just hope he can get the help he needs and they can then get him into rehab....since I called the center he is waiting on to take him....as always they have no beds keep calling....I want to thank each and every one for the time you take to read all my sad bad messages and comments

You have been thru so much and I am so sorry to hear about this and that you're going thru even more than you already were. I hope he gets better soon and will keep you all in thoughts and prayers, hang in there...

So sorry to hear this.. maybe they will be able to provide some assistance for him and he might be able to get out of his cycle of self-destruction though.. I hope so for you, sweetie!

Hi Mother 1952,

My thoughts are with you, and I hope things are better with your son. I am a substance abuse counselor, and as far as rehab goes, is it for drug/alcohol rehab? Because the hospital he is in may be able to do a referral to rehab when he's ready.
I'm sorry...it must be so difficult for you. The only bright side to it is now he'll hopefully get some help.

Well,son came home and feeling better for he is getting to talk to his children and of course wants to see them but they don't know what their plans are. He is in need to rehab also because of drug and alchol problems. Each kind word that has been said really helps me alot for I truly know that at least yall care. God Bless All....mother1952

Mother1952....I'm not a mother and I believe only a mother can understand what you are going through with a child whom you nursed from childborn to adulthood. As a father I would be in pieces I'm sure of.

Almighty Father who is giver of life and keeper of our souls, I kneel before your throne with a petition of prayer for this Lady and her sons. Only you Oh Lord can divinely intervene in a seemly hopeless situation. Only the hope we have in Jesus Christ can see us through this problem and we have the promise that we can overcome the world because, you Jesus have already overcome the world. You said be of good cheer, it's hard to do Lord when the present time in our lives involve not alot of sunshine. King David encouraged himself in your name Oh God!!
Help this family and encourage them with the everlasting hope through your Blessed Son Jesus Christ. Bring shower of blessings with the touch

Have you tried the Foundry in Bessemer????That is a wonderful place.They will try to work him in if they have a bed or a piece of the floor somewhere left open, especially with the problems he is having. Please call them. The state parole board granted my sons parole allowing him to go only there and he was doing a 15 year sentence. It is a long term program and that is what these youngsters need.
