Iv'e been on PTO for almost 2 years. I found this site around the time my mother passed away as I am nosey and was looking over her computer messages and history. I assume she figured I would do so as many have told me she asked them to make me feel welcomed should she not make it home again.:( My mom was the original 'okie' I just continued with her name when she didn't come back, Im known as 'sam' in chat.(short for Samantha) I usually don't have alot to say but do post mostly in the domestic violence forum as I was raised in that kind of home so I understand fear and abuse. My mothers death certificate says she died of cancer but we in the family know she may have been able to beat the disease if it hadn't been for the years of beatings from my father- those beatings and scars complicated any chance she could of had. In the sticky to be introduced into this forum it ask that we not be harsh or try to do the tough love thing on anyone- I try not to do that but speak from my heart as I don't want to see another family torn apart or another person buried from this kind of life. So thats why I'm in the domestic forums.......:)
