If someone has been moved from Alabama to the South Louisiana CC:
Does anyone know how I write to them? Do I use the same number that I had from Ala or would they be assigned a new one? Also do I send it to the LA address or do I still send it to Ala and it's forwarded from there? Sorry if these are dumb questions but I'm pretty confused about this :o
Thanks

You would send it with their same AIS number, and you would send it to the Louisiana facility's address.

You're very welcome! Any more questions along those lines just ask, I've already been there done that with the men's transfers to Mississsippi and back a couple of years ago. :)

this may help you. If you know the address to where he is located, make sure that you put an "A" in front of his AIS number. For example A-218999. This lets them know he is in the Alabama section. I was in Basile when the women were there and we had to have that "A" in our AIS number. I will also tell you that to me it was not a very good experence. We were treated awful. The store was very expensive and the food was not enough when it was a nice meal but most of the time is not not eatable. Make sure that you pray for the men and women in our prisons. No matter what they have done, they are still one of us. Thanks

Usually the mail is forwarded to them from the facility they were at, it make take a week or so to get to them. yes, you can send stamps to them.

Try writing to your Inmate at J.B. Evans Correctional Center, 316 Routh St, Newellton, LA 71357, or call 318-467-3355, to get any information. visiting is 2nd and 4th weekends, 1 PM to 4 PM, the only color not to wear is orange. Possibly a PO Box number 970. Good Luck. mama Claire
