My fiance is being released to a halfway house in New Mexico, from the Taladega (Alabama) FCI. Do they give him a bus ticket and gate money? He says he has to pay for it, but he has many gambling debts, so I am leary to send the money. I've called the facility and they are no help either.

They do provide bus transportation to the halfway house. Remember, the halfway house is the END of his sentence, not the beginning of his freedom. He is simply moving from one facility to another.

If he plans to take the bus, the govt will pay for it. If he goes by plane he must pay. He will need to report to the halfway house right away. I mean like in a couple hours. I just got out of FCI Terminal island in California, so if you have any questions ask away. God bless
