:new:I am new and actually confused about a lot of things. First off my name is jessica and my boyfriends name is jeff. He just went to prison a couple of months ago. He was sentenced to 4 in a half years. He was at eyman the cook unit but he got moved over to smu one iIt is hard and i don't really think that i have excepted it really yet, but i am trying to deal with it but only because i have no choice and i will not be able to change it, so that pretty much sums it all up,

Hi Jessica , welcome to PTO and the Arizona forum...we are happy to have you here with us!! :) I know that dealing with SMU and non-contact visits are tough, hopefully Jeff won't be there too long. Stay strong girl! ;) Lisa

Hello and Welcome to AZ Forum. My boyfriend is also in SMU at Lewis. Non-contact visits are not the best but better than nothing. :D

Hi Jessica,
You sound like me when my husband first went in and that was 4 1/2 years ago. In the beginning, it was real hard for me too. Denial was my first name, but as each day passed, it got a little better. Baby steps really help. Nowadays, life is easier, I still miss my husband, but I dont cry as much as I used to. I figured that this will all be behind us one day, we just have to be patient.
Find someone you can speak with, it really helps to let out your emotions, it wont change things, but it allows you to accept reality and find comfort. I wish you well, and if you ever want to chat, just pm me.
Remember these days, shall too pass.
