I'm approved and plan on going sometime in August.I think I have asked these questions a million times already but I'm very nervous about the first visit and want to get it right!
Do I need to call for a visiting appointment like at the SHU?
What can I take in just money and my ID?
and I'm still having trouble on what to wear....Can I ask the prison for some type of visiters clothing list?
Does black capri pants, some kind of flats (shoes) and a t shirt sound ok? Can the t-shirt have designs on them?
Thanks so much!

Imarie,
I have the general visiting rulebook in front of me now, for all levels of PB. Everything you mentioned clothes wise is fine (you may need to explain capri pants to me though)
It says on this form you DON'T need to call for a visit except in the SHU but it may be worth calling up to be certain, Its just the main number for PB.
I was really nervous as well but the officers made it surprisingly OK. It says you need to take ID, and with the money it has to be in a clear purse and no more than 30 dollars in coins and/or 1 dollar bills only.
Hope this helps other things they don’t allow are:
No denim, No shade of blue at all
No orange or yellow
No spaghetti straps or sleeveless tops
No camouflage type colours
No see through things
No low cut tops
No obscene slogans on tops
I think that’s about it, hope it helps and have a great visit when you go!

Thanks that does help! Capri pants are just short, ankle length pants
Where did you get the rule book? Is it something I can call and ask for?
How was your visit? Fill us in :)
Hi, Imarie...the brochure on visiting rules is available from the prison -
call 707-465-1000 and press the numbers for visiting information until you finally get a person...you have to listen to a few recordings before you finally get to the person at visiting, but it's worth it because she answers all your questions!
or call the Hospitality House at 707-465-6269 and ask them to send you one. They're only open Fri-Sun and holidays, but you can leave a message.
