If he is in Middleton he could be there up to 2 years, its a transfer unit, my son was there for about 6 months before being transferred and the only thing was the commissary didnt have any paper or envelopes at the time so I had some sent via Office Depot. TXDoll3 06-15-2006, 12:15 AM My Baby was there for about 8 months, and ya Texas doesn't have phone calls (except 5 min. ones every 90 days) and even at that point they have to turn in a slip to get permission, and then following that they will have to talk to you on the phone in front of a CO. WAITING4KIMBLE 06-26-2006, 11:29 PM What They Mean Is That You May Not Mail Him Envelopes Nor Writing Paper/pads Yourself. You Must Go To Staples Or Office Depot, Purchase The Items There And Have Them Mail the items To Your Man Directly From The store. Also You Asked In Another Thread About Where To Stay. There Is A Hospitality House Right Across The Street From The Middleton Unit. The People There Are Very Nice And You Give Them A Donation Of Whatever You Can. You May Sleep There, Shower, And Even Eat. As Far As a Bus Route Down That Street- You Are Out Of Luck. The Middle Unit Is In The Middle Of No-where. Literrally! You Will Have To Rent A Car Or Carpool With Someone. Good Luck To You. God Bless All Our Men In There So That They Are Healthy And Safe. Amen. RMD4EVER 06-27-2006, 09:37 AM hey Tb,my Husband Has Been At Middleton For The Past Year I Went Down For A Visit In Feb,it's Not (as Far As Prisons Go)a Bad Place, they Have A Hostess House Across The Street Where You Can Stay For Free (they Take Donations,)the Couple That Run It Are Awesome If You Need Numbers Pm Me And I Have Them All! They Were Under Lock Down Last Week So,your Mail Might Be Slowed Up For A Few Days RMD4EVER 06-27-2006, 09:41 AM oh And As Far As The Phone Calls, don't Expect Them They Say It's Because They Are Short Staff, you Will Be Lucky If You Get That 5 Min Every 90 Days In The Last Year I Have Gotten 2,one I Got Permission From The Major(that Was A Special Phone Call)when We Got Married And The Other My Husband Put In A Request For And It Took Around The 3 Months To Get It So,be Prepared To Start Writing Alot Of Letters. |
