I was just wondering if military inmates get a jag or if I can hire a lawyer for a parole hearing. He has never mentioned that he has on or has been contacted by on during parole but I figured it was worth asking about.

Mom,
Check out this link (parole information is about halfway through the document). There is no specific grant of a right to counsel at a parole hearing. It is not a "criminal proceeding" in constitutional terms, so he needs to contact the Office of Trial Defense Counsel and talk to someone about it. Generally, it is considered an administrative hearing and the military has its own rules and regulations. Good luck!

No, next hearing will be sometime in september. I hope the outcome is much better this time. All of the others involved in the same crime are out, either on parole or sentance served. Thanks for your inquirey.
