our request to transfer my son's father, to the state we live in was rejected.
I thought the home visit went well, I was told the officer saw no problem with it and that it looked good. But when he left he told me he didn't make the decision and I'd hear later. I heard by phone from my man that it was denied. Noone has told me why and neither he nor I have gotten a copy of the report.
Does anyone know how I'd get a copy?
After five years my son and I are devastated he won't be coming home.
Also, if we visit him out of state- I think we can only see him a few hours in a place with a phone right by the halfway house. He can't have overnight or weekend if he has no home there.

I would try and fight it. That is really horrible. My heart goes out to you. I know everyone says nothing ever gets rectified or done, and they are mostly right, but we are still human and they have to have some kind of reason for the bs they put us all through...

I'm So, So sorry ot hear that SBlue. We haven't had any progress with our
situation either. I have a copy of the report though. It said nothing about me not wanting him to come here. Keep your head up though. At least he's getting out. I still have a wait on my hands. They are now considering a transfer of prisoners to the Brooklyn FCI. Now that will be a mess. But at least I could fly in and see him without renting a car. ( :

Sblue I am so sorry to read of this. Wow girl -- hopefully by now you have a reason. I'm wondering if the problem lies with your state, that maybe they didn't want to accept him. I don't know but I am very sorry.

And I'm sorry they rejected yours too DonnalovesTim.

So very, very sorry. But, at least he has a little more freedom and is in his final months of confinement. Hang in there.
