each event is categorized with stages leading me to prison

2002- Working part time going to Trade school
:Meet people from my work and school involved in drugs
: experimented with it liked it it relieved my stress
: started to increase my usage and started to decline my performance in school
and work
2003- Despite all that I managed to the next year comming 3 units shy of my degree
: Work was going okay but was late and fired
: Car note and bills were stacking up and needed to pay.
: Started to sale to pay those bills and I was soon to be a father and was broke
2004- Continued to sale and support my habit never to return to finish my degree
:Worked places and got low wages and returned to sale dope for quick fast money
Business started to grow and reached thousands a week. Baby was born and despite the fact continued knowing the consequence with added pressure to make money
2005- Came up big and started to make it out the game and open up my own retail business in the near future, parents are curious were the money and the people are
Someone snitches on me that was popped and now Im faced with 4-5 in prison
2006-been out on bail and now taking a plea cause there is no other way out. Sleeping at night knowing that your not gonna be around to see your kid grow for 5 years has been hard. But I have sinned and now must pay the price in the face of the law

Eternal Hope

Carven I can only hope that you will have the strength to help yourself and admit that you have an addiction, and seek help that you deserve for YOU. It is unfortunate that you will be missing 5 years of your child's life. I also hope that you will seek gainful employment upon release, stay away from the users and so called 'friends' that got you where you are today. The money may come slower but it is honestly made money. Think about how you want your child to remember you...Good luck and God Bless!

Carven, hon, as a method of stress relief I'd say drugs turned out to lack a little something:)

starting over

Yes, you got caught up in it all and now you will have to take a lot of time to start over. I know that feeling. Drugs/alcohol are all shortcuts to deal with our problems and for many of us who are here on these boards they ADD big time to our stress and problems in our life. I wish you well in your future.
