If caught liying on visitor form, or in the criminal justice system, pre- or post-sentencing (this is not an absolute) or tried to bring in contraband, if there is an order of protection preventing contact, or if denied visit from another facility. The vast majority of spouses have no problem. Is there an issue you are worried about? gloriatucker 06-12-2006, 12:53 PM im worried because of my criminal record. im quite certain if we wernt married there is no way i would be approved. gloria mrsford 06-12-2006, 01:04 PM If you have a criminal record, you may not be approved even though you are married. Have you contacted the facility to ask? Zelda50 06-15-2006, 08:17 PM If you are currently on parole or probation, you will need to get your P.O. to write a letter stating that it's OK that you visit. Then it will be up to the BOP prison staff. Be sure to fill out the visiting application truthfully cause it causes even more problems if you lie about it - and they have their ways of knowing criminal history! Good luck.
