Does anybody know anything about Ulster? My husband was thinking about transferring there because of the Cadre Program. If anybody has information on how it is there and what the visits are like, I would appreciate it!

Ulster is only a holding facility, it is not a place they will let him stay at. They hold inmates there until they find a place to transfer them. It might be a different situation for your hubby though since he wants to go in for a program, but he will have to find out on his own. If he does get transfered there, you have to call the facility to find out when his visiting is. Try to get there verrrrry early or else you wont get a change to see him. It is best to be one of the first ones in. You have to dress very conservative, meaning not showing off anything!,they are strict about showing affection, so be aware and take caution. If you need more info let me know..I also know of a great bus service that goes up there.
