I have just got in contact with someone from my family after So many years have past. He is at Holman( in Alabama). I was just wondering if I would be able to send him some envelopes, and stamps. How do i go about that? How many can i send? what do i send it in? Can i just put some stamps in with my letter to him?
I just sent him a letter today, i enclosed 3 pictures for him... I didnt think to find out if there was a limit of photos that i could send.<shrug> Does any one know?
What are we allowed to send to them besides a letter?? anything??

... One other question, Does anyone know what radio station they may listen to ? thought maybe i could find out, and try to request and dedicate a song maybe <shrug>
Thanks ahead of time!!!
P.s. any information that yall might think i need to know about, i'd be very thankfull.:) MicheLeWifff1L

Hi there I also have someone at Holman and they change the rules daily !!!!!!!!!!!!the best thing to do is to go on to the adoc website and either email the public relations officer or just read through the various rules and regulations. Mine is on death row and I am allowed to send him 4 photos per letter, 6 computer print out sheets but no paper or envolopes but that could be because he is on death row and because I am in England. I think you are allowed to send american postage stamps in though and money orders. I am also trying to find out what station they might listen to so if I find anything out I will let you know. Good luck Lisax

You can send him up to 2 books of stamps per letter. You can send envelopes and paper, best thing to do is call the facility and find out exactly how many envelopes and pieces of paper you can send.

The photos you usually can send 3 or 4 per letter. That is pretty much all you can send. At different times of the year you can send a hygine package and a food package. The facility will let him know if he is eligible for one and when to send it.

As for the radio station I am not for sure...

Here is the website for the Alabama DOC http://www.doc.state.al.us/

You will find alot of stuff on this site. When you call the facility, ask for the mail room.

If you have any more questions let us know..
