Hi, my name is Michelle and my loved one is incarcerated in ASP Florence for 2 and half years. I am very new to all this and look forward to interacting with everyone on this site. I have been visiting my boyfriend for the past two weeks now and plan on continuing every week. Visits alot better than county because we can hug and give each other a kiss. My boyfriend says that at our second visit I was acting frustrated and that his other friends noticed it. I admit I was and I'm not sure why. I think I was uncomfortable don't know if it was him or just the surrounding. Our first visit went very well though. I know I still love him but, seems i have a hard time expressing myself when I see him. I can do it on paper though and when we're alone. Maybe it was because there was so much people around us and felt awkward but, at the same time it shouldn't matter. Hope this next visit goes better. Hi to everyone.

Welcome to PTO. The visiting rooms and the surroundings tend to be a frustrating place to begin with. I hate to say it, but they get more comfortable for you as time goes on.

Hi Michelle, welcome to PTO and the Arizona forum...we are glad to have you here with us! :) I hope that your visit this weekend goes better. It just takes some time to get used to the whole visit atmosphere. Just try to forget about everyone else and focus on your time with him. Have a great visit! ;) Lisa

Hi Michelle, nice to meet ya. I agree with what the others said. Visitation rooms can definitely feel wierd at first, but after time you will get used to it. Eventually you will be able to tune out everything around you, and just focus on you and him. :) I hope your next visit is great.
