Hi everyone,
My fiance was arrested last wednesday and is being held in Central Arizona Detention Center (Florence) until trial due to his legal status. It's killing me to think that he is innocent (at least that's what he says  ) and is going to be behind bars for like 6 months before he is even proved guilty or innocent!!!
I have no idea what I am supposed to do... should I visit immediatley? Can I? How much money should I send him?
If anyone has any info on where he is being held (also called the Florence CCA) or answers for me PLEASE let me know....
Thanks for your support.

Hi there Blue Karma, welcome to PTO and the Arizona forum!! I'm sorry that I dont know much about the CCA, but here is a website I found for you with their phone number. http://www.usmarshals.gov/district/az/prisoners/index.html
You can call them and ask them about how visits work there. In state prisons, you have to apply for their visiting list and wait to be approved but I have no idea how it works there. I do think that you should visit right away if you can though, it will help both of you to be able to see each other. I would try to send him at least $50 if you can so that he can buy what he needs. Good luck and hopefully you will hear from him soon! :) Lisa

Should I send him $50 a week? The CCA said all funds must be mailed in money orders. How do I do that? They said to make sure I put his name and ID# on it, but do I make it out to him or the prison??
I live in California and visiting is going to be hard, so I want to make sure I am allowed and know what to do before I go.
God this is so hard!!! I wish I could be with him :(
Thanks for the support.

Welcome to PTO. If you have any questions about sending money in, the best thing to do would be to call the facility and see what they allow. That way you can do it right the first time. Good luck.

Hi again, no you don't necessarily have to send him a set amount per week...I was just thinking he could use some money to buy hygiene and snacks and whatever else he needs since he just got there.
I'm not sure how they have you fill out money orders there but in state they like us to fill them out this way: Pay to the order of: ADC for acct. of Inmate name and ADC #. I think if you fill it out that way, with CCA instead of DOC you should be fine. You can call to double check though if you're not comfortable sending it that way.
I'm sorry that you are so far way-that must be hard! I hope that you will be able to find out something about how they do their visits soon. Good luck, Lisa

Hi there, sounds like you got most of the answers you needed. I hope you are able to visit soon and that he will be proven not guilty when the time comes. :)
