Hello everyone, this is my first time posting in this forum but, this is what i need. i have been telling my boyfriend that he needs to get his ged and work on the 2 year program for his associates degree. he said that the places that they were going to send him didnt offer college courses. i looked up the prison where he was nksp in cali and it stated 2 year college courses offered. is there a way to find out if this program still exists or is it pretty much hopeless?

I'm not sure what/where nksp is. My son is at Pleasant Valley, they have some kind of college classes going there. He was in the psychology class but had to drop it because of other classes (I pay for correspondence courses, not real cheap. They do have some with inmate discounts and/or grants, his don't.) Anyway, if you find there are no classes offered where he is at you might want to try these:
1801 18th St. NW, Washington, DC 20009 Write for a list of schools and courses that are offered to prisoners by mail.
Office of Correctional Education, U.S. Dept. of Education, 400 Maryland Ave. S.W., Washington, DC 20202. Information about educational grants.
(These are good for any state).
