First I'd like to say that I am new to Prison talk. :D
My husband-to-be is in Powhantan Correction Ctr-State Farm, VA. He has been there for about a month and some change now. Before then he was in a local regional jail, about 15 mins away from me. I went to see him almost everytime he had visits there(when I didnt have class or had to work). Now that he has been moved it seems like I am never going to see him again!!!:cry: I drive but, I am scared to drive that far by myself. It like 2 hrs away from me. I know that doesnt sounds to far, but it is when you don't know where you are going! Anyway he told me that there is a bus thats goes to Powhantan. I am praying that someone can help me if they know anything about this "bus to powhantan". Or if someone goes to visit an inmate there, maybe we can carpool:confused:

There is a non profit organiozation called assisting families of inmates that leave from richmond and go to the jails. If you want the number im me and I'll give it to you.

Powhatan is not hard to find and not a bad drive. From Portsmouth, you could take 460 up to Petersburg, then hop on 95 to 288. Route 711 runs off 288 and takes you right into Powhatan. Good luck!
