i was needing to know if anyone can explain to me what is meant by the "DOG BOX" my fiance has been put in there for 25 days and i was wondering exactly what that meant if any one can help me please do--angel:confused:

I've never heard the term "dog box" but have heard "doghouse" so it's probably the same thing. It sounds like he has probably been sent to lockup segregation for a disciplinary violation.

Most of the facilities have both "lockup seg" and "admin seg", the difference being that the first is temporary while the second is usually residential for a while. Lockup is often referred to as "the doghouse" or "jail" (or, I guess, the "dog box").

What it means is he'll be in the cell in solitary for the 25 days, no outside time outside of the cell, and probably no phone, visiting, or store privileges until the time's up either.

yeah it was called the dog house we were just curious about what it meant and hes mom was wanting to know.he will be out by the time we get to visit on july 1 which is hes bday so i am very excited. thanks for the help-angel
