hey yall......i need some help if anyone can??? im tryin to look up info on an ex boyfriend i know all his info...my friend found some stuff on her childs dad under department of corrections but she is in the states i need to know if theres a link for the department of corrections for canada that can give me info on what charges he had and how long he was in jail.....please help :D

Its different here than in the States. We cannot get info on charges and time served etc. on the net. It is public information though and you can go to the courts and get transcripts of court cases. There is a fee for this.

If the case was high profile you may be able to go and do a search in the archives of some of the newspapers. The Kingston Whig Standard has good info and also The Hamilton Spectator. Steve Buist is an excellent reporter and is up to speed on criminal issues. Last I heard he is still working for the Spectator. You might want to try and touch base with him.
