On Monday the holiday, I sent him some money through JPAY. Tuesday morning I called and they had received it. The lady said it will be posted before the week is up. Actually within a few days. I don't know how long before he is notified. But, I will find out. The lady there said it makes it much easier to send money through JPAY, less paper.

Please let me know because I am about to call myself. I sent my fiance and my stepson money on 5/18 and they should have gotten in on 5/22. I spoke with my guy on the 26th and he hadn't gotten anything/been notified. Hmmmm?

I found out that because JPay is on a role and happens so quick, the prison doesn't send receipts to the inmate. I found out that the inmate needs to fill out an inmate request form to accounting asking their balance. Hope this helps (it helped me!)

Jpay is the new way (if you want) to send money to your honey.
It is at www.jpay.com (http://www.jpay.com) The cost is $2.99. The money comes out of your credit card or debit card with visa or master card logo. The money is at the joint usually by the next morning. I am waiting to hear from him to tell me how long it took for him to be notified. The money hits his account within a couple of days. No more paper money orders. Really fast. Way to go. Well, at least I think so!:thumbsup:

Well, I received a letter from my freind. As of the 18th he never received a "notice" that he had money on his books. But, it was there lickity split. IT was there in plenty of time for him for his drawl. I had wrote and told him that I had sent it, that is was good enough for him. As long as it makes it there in time, do we really care? :)

I'm hoping he gets my payment soon. I made it just now (Saturday) and he needs money really bad. I hope it works.

Keep in mind that "notices" are not always given. Has your guy put in a balance request and he will know that its there.

I called the main number, 1-661-822-4402 and hit 0, then asked for accounting. The lady was real helpful. She actually said she was thinking about requesting that they start notifying the convicts when they get a payment in via JPay. Anyrage, my love got his money. Not sure if he knows it yet, but I sent it what, Friday? And it cleared onto his books either yesterday or today. Now we just have to wait and see if he gets the actual books I sent him! :)
