View Full Version : CCI Member Check In
Sunnie 05-30-2006, 11:42 PM Hello everyone!
My name is Sunnie and I am one of the Mods in the California Correctional Institution (CCI) forum.
I have been a member of PTO for 3 1/2 years. And a Moderator for about 2 1/2 of those years. I also moderate the Mental Health forum, the Domestic Violence forum, When the Relationship is over forum, The Hepatitis C forum.
To be honest, I have just began writing to someone who is in CCI in 4B so I am really new to this institution. Most of you probably know a whole lot more about CCI than I do so we can learn from each other. If there is a question asked that noone else knows the answer to, I will do my best to answer it for you, and if I don't know the answer, then I will do what I can to find the answer for you, even if it means calling the institution.
I am 41 year old and am a single mother of 2 children. A girl Savannah who is 11 and a boy David who is 3.
Welcome to the Forum and I look forward to getting to know each and everyone of you.
Please check in and post your introductions in this thread so we can all get to know each other better.
If you need me for anything, feel free to PM me.
Sunnie
PTO Moderator

Hi, everyone! My name is Lara and I have been on PTO for a minute now, but my baby got transferred from CIM Central SHU to CCI SHU this week. I will be visiting this Sunday. I'm really happy for him! He shot me a postcard sayind he was so stoked to finally get the hell out of Chino. He'd been there for almost 2 years in the hole. Well, ladies, it's nice to be in a new forum and I hope to get to know some of you ladies. I have TONS of questions already!!
Lovin' Your Life,
Lara
4HimAlone 06-26-2006, 03:59 PM Hi guys!! My daughter's dad is in 4B. Just wanted to let you know. I'm a little familiar with the non-contact visits here. Not very fun, that's for sure. Well, if anybody needs anything, I'm happy to help. God Bless.
Rob's Gurl 07-15-2006, 10:45 PM Hi Everyone! I am new to PTO and to CCI. My boyfriend is there. He's only been there for about 2 months and I still don't know much about the place. I haven't mailed back my visiting form because I need to pay a ticket. Does anyone know if they will deny a visit if you are making payments on a fine? Because I a making payments on a fine for a DUI I got almost 3 years ago. I am on informal probation until the end of this year (I think) because I think it was only for 3 years but I don't know because it was so long ago and it's not like formal probation or anything because I don't have tp check in with anyone I just gotta stay out of trouble. But yah that's my question! About the visiting and one more if you send them a magazine(because I heard you cant send magazines here) what do they do with it? Send it back to the bookstore? And does it mean when he is in 4B? Is it just the building number or does it mean something different? Well guys sorry to bombard with so many questins but I got on a roll :) Well I'm here if anyone needs to talk! Take care

ChiccenWeezy 08-08-2006, 08:19 PM I am new to PTO, In fact this is only my second Post. My....my...."fiance" is in C.C.I. as well. Level 3 Gym. He is there in reception and has been there since the 26th of July (06).
ChiccenWeezy 08-08-2006, 08:24 PM i'mstillhere could you tell me some of your experiences with the mail at C.C.I. I write Ant (fiance) almost everyday and yet I got no mail. This is not like him. He is in reception but I mailed him 40 stamps and recieved like 3 letters.
i'mstillhere 08-09-2006, 12:04 PM ChiccenWeezy, well my experiences are nothing to laugh about. There has been mail lost going to him and coming to me. I almost left my husband because I thought he forgot me on Valentine's Day, but when I started going to the higher athorities all of a sudden my cards were found. First of all the stamps probably didn't get to him because unlike other prisons they are not allowed stamps, they have to be sent prestamped envelopes, you can get them at the post office and a limit of 10. Don't worry it's not him. Sometimes things are cracking (if you know what I mean) and he might be on his toes and watching his back so he might not have time to write just be patient and he will let you know what is going on. I don't mean to worry you but this prison is no joke. It could also be that a CO has it in for him and he mail is being put to the side until the last minute. One word of advice with this prison saty on your toes and get to know your man's counselor, and anything you might not like get to know the authorities.
diamond415 08-09-2006, 01:08 PM Yep I fully agree with the advice at hand!!! You gotta be flexible things can change at the last minute!!!!! Well I'm here to check in I have been superrrrrrrrr busy lately!!!
desperados girl 08-10-2006, 02:13 AM Hi Everyone!! I am new to PTO. My boyfriend just got transferred to the SHU unit in CCI just 5days ago. He was up in the High Dessert State Prison in Susanville. I don't know much about CCI, so at this point anything would help. I got my first letter from him today and he said that I can't send him binder paper. That's a first I have heard of that in prison system. The wonderful thing is that he is closer to home, now I can got see him. I have not seen him in person for just over 3yrs. Any tips on the visiting there??
Buck2934 08-18-2006, 03:24 PM i'mstillhere--just read your Thread and I am relly worried now. My son just arrived late July and is there for (I think) 9 months. Can you tell me if he will get the mail we sent him or will he have to wait because he just got there. I do realize this is prison but the things that you mentioned really scare me.
Thanks for anything you can tell me that would help us to help our son.
Rudy's girl 08-18-2006, 06:59 PM He should get your letters, my experience is that it takes about a week for him to get his mail and there was one occasion that they gave him three letters on one day.
diamond415 08-18-2006, 09:15 PM Hey all, its me just stopin by to check in...... Nothin new on my end. Same ole same ole.
