 Hi everyone, My husband has just mainlined to unit 1 at cci, We cant have visitation because of a restraining order the DA issued on a DV charge. Well , We went back to the court on a review hearing and the judge modified it to limited.(So we could live together without violating.) Things were going well, untill he got drunk and left a threat on his mothers answering machine. She turned it over to police, they arrested him and the judge gave him 3 years upper term. Now here is the problem. I went to the court and got a certified copy of this restraining order to show proof to his counselor it was modified. When I spoke on the phone to her she was quite short with me . Told me she couldnt verify my idinity over the phone and wouldnt give me any information. wouldnt even pull his file and then told me whatever she has told him is what she has in his file and that is the end of this conversation. I asked her how I could verify I was his wife so she would be able to speak to me about the perticulars and she said there isnt any way. What should I do? I just need to see my husband we have been nmarried 13 years have two children and are still madly in love. I also dont think he was given the proper amount of credits would I bring that up with his counselor. She has intemidated me so that now I am uneasy calling her back. help please!!!!!!!!!!

Put it all in writing and send it to the warden, incuding the copy of the court papers. The Warden will not see it, most likely but his assistant will and the letter will be logged. You will receive some kind of reply. On things like this you need to put everything in writing. Phone calls cannot be documented. You may even have to get the judge to write a letter for you.

My wife was not allowed to visit me for a year. I finally wrote the Judge and he wrote me back telling me to have my wife come to see his secretary and pick up the papers he had that would get things cleared up. My wife had been arrested with me and they dropped the charges when I pled guilty. They kind of held her hostage to get me to plead. Anyway, I had to get the papers saying that she had been exonerated from the Judge. The computer showed that she still had outstanding charges. Nobody told me that the Judge could help us, I had to keep trying until I finally found out what to do. Now I can share this with you and hopefully save you some time.
