:rolleyes: Hello everyone I need some information so I thought this would be the best place to start my husband has been charged with 11 charges and it seems that he will be going to prison he is here illegally and I have know idea what to expect this is our 3rd pretrial and they have 100,000 cash bond immigration has a hold on him he got into a fight with his friends and this is what happened so I'm confused about everything and because he doesnt speak alot of english our attorney has to have a translator and so does the court they have put the pretrial off 3 times and this is getting hard he has been in the system for almost 3 months now I guess what I am saying is we are paying a ton for this lawyer and I havent seen anything done this is our 2nd lawyer because I feel like for 25,000 they should be doing something and they are not doing anything ......

Welcome to PTO. I'm glad you found us and joined.... Is the lawyer a specialist in the kind of law you need him to specialize in? You can call the Michigan Bar Association and get the name of a lawyer that specializes in the type of law you need.

Hindsite is 20/20 sometimes and our first 2 lawyers were awful, hence ineffective council suits won, but my husband in....

We had no idea how to go about knowing who was good and who wasn't....
