I have been a lurker on Prison Talk for a while now and was wondering if any of you guys could help me out with a class project. I'm taking a Youth, Crime, and Society class and we have to do a reaction presentation. My group is doing the "Parental Influence on Drug/Alcohol Abuse". Drugs can include the legal and illegal. We chose to do a survey and I was wondering if anyone who has parents that have abused Drugs/Alcohol in the past would be willing to fill it out? It would be greatly appreciated and you could PM the answers to me if you don't want to post them on here! I need at least 5 responses. I know this is a kind of personal topic but any info shared is totally anonymous.

1. Did your parent(s) drug/alcohol abuse impact you? Yes or No. Please Explain.

2. At what age did you first find out your parent(s) abused drugs/alcohol?

3. Did you ever witness the abuse? Yes or No

5. If you answered yes to #4, did your parent(s) know about the problem? Yes or No
If yes, what was their reaction? Please explain (Ex. Did they promote or discourage the behavior, recommend counseling, etc.)

7. Have your parents ever discussed alcohol/drug abuse with you? Yes or No
