I am trying to find out information on tutwiler prison In Alabama, My husbands ex wife was sentenced to 3 years, for theft 1st, failure to appear, probation Violation and countless other charges...... she was arrested Jan 06 and was sentenced mid Jan. she stayed in county jail until the end of April then was booked in Tutwiler. Only to be "processed" in so she says.


She is saying she has one parole hearing June 1st and another July 27 can anyone tell me why she has 2 hearings? I am so confused........ Her release date on the inmate seach states she will be released March of 07.... Out of her 3 year sentence does anyone know how much time she will actually spend? Or even an Idea?

3yrs at 30-35% you are look at 1/3 of each year how much time she has to do. 35% would 4mos.and 2weeks extra of each year you would subtract. So rounding for you approx.1yr. So the law states you have to see parole board exactly one year after starting your time. But in her case she's only looking at a year. So if she is lucky the could let her home before a year. Her hearings would have to come in months increments instead of a year. So thats why she is having so many parole hearings so close together. Good bye nowAF

She will proabably serve alittle over a year. If she was sentenced this Jan the 3 years would be 2009 so her EOS date of 2007 includes the good time. I don't know why she has 2 parole hearing dates unless it is a mistatke by the parole board. You could call to the parole board and find out the date of her hearing or get on there website.
