boyfriend went on the run back 16 months ago . Havn't committed any crimes or gotten into trouble . He was on parole with 18 months left . He flew the provience back xmas eve , and has been doing awsome up here , good job, full time , home , and a baby due . my ex found out he was here with me and ratted him out , now hes in edmonton remand waiting too go to prison . Whats the chances of parole again ? Will they take into conciteration that he's been doing good , working and ect ...? Out of the 18 months , what will he do if he dont get parole , the whole 18 months or 12 ? whats the chances of him getting out in a half way house or ect in a couple months ? sorry so many questions , but i'm lost ! thank you .

Depends what the orignal crime is. It would be very wise of him to tell them that during his AWOL he secured a job, maintained a home for his family and that he was a productive citizen. He will also have to tell them why he AWOLed. Perhaps he can tell them that his family was in desperate need (children traumatized without him, sickness). That his feeling of disappointment and abandoment got the better of him and that he AWOLed so he could help them out. His lawyer may even apply for work release if the job he was doing is still available.....anything and everything positive. Our justice system is more sensitive to family issues. I may work. Good luck
