Hey there,
I just wanted to know if anyone had any information on the Chemical Dependency/Domestic Violence Program ( A.K.A CD/DVP) at Eastern Annex. Is it hard for inmates to get into? How does it work? If anyone can help I would really appreciate it.
Thanks

Hey MsMoon. My man just finished the program at the Annex on Monday! It is a bit difficult to get into and there is a waiting list right now (a lot of interest), but if he meets the criteria and has been doing good all along, it shouldn't be a problem. They have programs Mon. - Fri. throughout the day/evening/night. I don't agree with some of the crap they teach the men, but what are you gonna do...The counselors there are really good, I haven't heard many complaints. The Annex is VERY laid back, low inmate violence and the hacks are actually really nice! Packages and visiting there are a breeze compared to some other places. From May - October, you can bring food from home/restaurants on the visits as long as there's no glass, tin, open beverages etc.... You can even grill! They have grills outside and tables outside, but if it rains, they don't allow you outside...I hope that this helps. If you need anymore info., just let me know.
