Hi!
I hope someone here can help me with my question.
I would like to send my pen pal, who is at Ferderal Supermax ADX at Florence Colorado, a book. I know I cannot do so directly. The problem is, Iīm from Germany. Do you know if they accept books from AMAZON? And if not, any other options? And only paperback allowed, right? Of course I could ask him, but I would like to surprise him. And sorry if that question was already asked! I searched, but I didnīt find anything.
Thank you!

I believe you can have books sent to him through Amazon.com. Since it's ADMAX, hardcover books may not be allowed. I'm not totally sure about that though. If there is any place to indicate it on the Amazon.com order form, the book would need to be mailed via the U.S. Postal Service (not UPS). Another place you can order books from is Powellsbooks.com. Hi!
I tried AMAZON and I just hope it´ll work  ! I´m quite sure that ADMAX does not accept hardcover books ( that "worst of the worst" thing), like most Supermaxes, so I chose softcover. Sure is sure.
Thanks!

Thanks! Good to know. Since it was expensive enough...
NO hardback books are allowed at all, but I have even ordered USED books from Amazon and all have made it in. When I buy used I always email the seller to make sure that there are no markings or turned down pages in the used book. Things like underlining, turned down pages and other markings can get the book rejected. One time I could only find a certain book in hard back and I had the seller remove the covers - it got in that way.
