Not sure how many people will have seen this play or the film Court TV made from it, but it is now available on DVD and well worth seeing. "The Exonerated" tells the story of six people who were sentenced to death and eventually cleared of the charges against them or freed by plea agreements which avoided unpleasant details like prosecutors admitting they were wrong. Good cast, riveting performances, and it's well worth reading up on the actual cases online afterwards, as there is a lot of detail out there which just wouldn't fit into a 90 minute movie.
Very thought-provoking, if talky, film. I have heard that when the play is performed, the actual people involved sometimes appear as themselves, which must be rather interesting....
