Does anyone know what is happening at TCCF? They have been on lockdown for the past 6 days. Any info would be great as my son is there.

I would suggest calling the prison, and saying you were told they are on lock down, and say you have a child there, and ask what is going on. They generally will let you know.

I did call last Friday and they wouldnt tell me anything so I called Hawaii PSD and they told me that the Hawaii Contract Monitors were on their way and they would have answers today ( but they still couldnt seem to give any). They did tell me that no one was hurt and there wasnt a riot.

My son did finally call today and said that from what he heard via rumors was that there was a problem in the Rec Area a week ago Sunday and that they put everyone into lockdown. He also said that they took not only my son but about 40 other guys I believe from the same POD and put them into Segragation with no explanation other than they would let them know next week what is going on. He said that rumor has it that they will be going to the SHIP program. Needless to say I am very ANGRY with Tallahatchie to not even tell them what they are being punished for. And in my opinion if something happened in the Rec Area than I assume that there were guards there that could identify the people that were involved and put them into Seg and leave the other guys were they were. I have been in contact with another Parent of a child there and her son is in a different POD and he said that they have not seen nor heard of anyone from Hawaii being there. According to him it is something that they would all know if they were in fact there. Sorry to ramble but I am very upset as my son is having his Par. Hearing in a few months and if they are still "investigating" or doing whatever they are doing then he will not come home.

If anyone else has info please let me know and I will do the same as I learn more.

Yes... If my brain is working properly this morning this IS where the Hawaiin inmates are. Is your son saying that they are not located there?? I think they are. What is the SHIP program?? BEST OF LUCK!! MAYBE they did this for their "safety" but they SURE could have told you..
