Federal Prisoners can have family and friends send them 3 magazines at a time. No pornographic material is allowed and they should write, "BOP approved" on the outside of the envelope. Inmates can recieve books and calendars. No food or clothing can be sent. You will need to purchase all of toiletries from commissary.
To the best of my knowledge you will only be allowed to spend a total of $300 a month reguardless of how much is in your account.

You should have a number already. It would be in your PSR as your USM number. I was not able to self-surrender but I called my attorney from jail once a week to see if she knew what my designation was. I knew before I went where I was headed.
