This is a responce I made in another forum and thought it would be interesting to see the feedback here.

>>>you dont have enough bad things to help
hate<<<

Just a thought along that line...........

Think of a bad situation like a snake bit.......got that in mind?

Now once bitten, you can't change that, PERIOD!

But, the bit isn't going to kill you!

It's the venom that moves through your system that's going to end up
killing you.

"hate", like venom, is the destroyer. Not the situations (bit)!

If the flow of venom is stopped near it's source (bit) it can not
destroy. "Hate" as well as blame that's stopped, can not do any more
damage either.

A bit, when treated, will heal even tho the bit, might leave a scar.
But, the "scar" holds no threat to the body in how it operates!

If a bit is left untreated, it could fester and cause other major
problems like death unrelated to the venom.

"hate", as well as blame, can be deadly!

Situations can ONLY influence! Therefore, I am, because of the
choice's "I" have made!

Situation's "are" healable........ALWAYS!

WOW, that was a "windy" thought. :D

but a very thoughtful one... I think I need to send it to JD... you expressed in a rather brief analogy a concept I have been trying to get through to him... :)
if only it were as easy as you make it sound!!! :)

BRAY:

OH MY GOODNESS HOW VERY RIGHT YOUR ARE.... THAT IS PROBABLY ONE OF THE BEST DESCRIPTIONS OF HATE THAT I HAVE EVER HEARD. THE WAY TO DESCRIBE WHAT IT DOES TO YOU IS SO RIGHT... IT WILL DESTROY YOU IF YOU LET IT.... THAT IS WHY WE HAVE SO MUCH CRIME AND HATE IN OUR WORLD TODAY..

MAY GOD BLESS YOU BRAY..

No torrey, who is Dr. Dyer? Does he/she have a program on TV? I don't watch enough TV to have a program nor do I take the local news paper.

Apparently I would enjoy viewing, if he/she does.

I picked up the venom/hate thing about two years ago and the comment that was made in the other forum brought it back to mind. It isn't something "I" came up with, but like everybody else, most likely put my wist to it, from my view point.

jd .........NOTHING is easy in these reguards! I think, the only hope one can have in writting these things is to get someone thinking and what they do with it, is up to them. A story, comment or such, may not be the seed, but could be the water to bring something else to life?

BRay....excellent analogy! Our Medical Community has discovered that harbouring negative thoughts is extremely detrimental to not only our physical well being, but our emotional health as well. We all have days when we would rather entertain "these feelings" - because we are human - but when we allow ourselves to become over whelmed, stressed or even dictated by the situation, we are taking years off our lives. I for one will pass out flyers for you as you stand on the "soap box" and preach :)

I never really learned how to really hate till I started doing time. It took a few years for the hate & bitterness to fade away. Like all animals if its not fed it can be killed.

That is a great analogy, BR, and something I really needed to hear today! Been having one of those "da** Feds" kind of day. Need to step back and realize that no matter what happens, it is what it is and just gotta roll with it. Very tough, but the best protection for ourselves, not to let that venom spread.

Thanks so much, BR!!
