I have never been to Brickeys. I am thinking about visiting on May 13th and I was wondering if anyone can tell me what there is to do nearby or where there is a decent hotel. I thought about just staying in Memphis, however, Memphis in May might make that a bad idea.
Also, I've never visited a prison before, is it pretty easy once I get nearby to see where I need to drive to visit?
Any tips you can give me about this or anything related would be appreciated.

I don't know too much about that area or about Brickey's. But, I do know that Memphis in May is the 1st weekend in May, so you won't have to worry about that.

I was so nervous the first time I went to visit my fiance, but I found the prison (it was Cummins) pretty easily due to all the signs. Just make sure to read the visitation regulations (I'm pretty sure they're on the visitation form you fill out), dress appropriately (no shorts, tanks, etc), put your money in your pocket or clear coin purse, and don't forget your i.d. Also, make sure to bring enough money for pictures (if they have them) and food.
