hi.this is my 1st time using pto..and i could use some help. where can i get more info. on what i can do to help my fiance who is locked up in jackson ga.? he has not yet received a parole date....how long does this process usually take? he has been sentenced to 10 yrs. on a drug trafficing charge..it is his very 1st offense. some ppl. are saying it is possible that he may only have to serve 18 months then the rest on papers. i have no idea what i should do as his fiance in order to help speed things up. are there any contacts that would be beneficial for me to get in touch w/......if you have any suggestions on what i need to do.....plz help.thanks.

Another warm welcome to PTO! Glad to have you with us. You can ask your questions in the legal forum also. Did your fiance receive a straight 10 years? Or anything like time to serve, then a 'suspended' sentence that totals 10 years? Seems harsh to me on a 1st offense, but that is happening alot today. Have you talked to his lawyer? That may be a start!
