I sent a quarterly package to CTF North which was received 3/28. My fiance was in lockdown at that time and I understand they do not deliver packages during lockdown. On 4/7 he was transferred to CTF South and has since been awaiting his package. He has money on his books but has yet to get to stores because of the time it takes to verify his funds, and this last week South was on a "modified lockdown" so no yard, phones, school, work, packages, etc. They have been told the lockdown should be lifted tomorrow (4/24) but when he asked a CO about his package getting to him from North he was told 6-8 weeks. I feel that this is insane!

Would it be faster for me to order a new package now and have him refuse the first one? or is there someone I could call to discuss this with and possibly expedite the forwarding of his stuff?

It kills me to think he has no shampoo, decent soap, deodorant, toothpaste, not to mention soups and the little extra things that make the time slightly more bearable. Thanks for any info you may share.

I think that when they start delivering packages at North when they get to his they will just send it down to South Facility.
I have a situation and probably will also have to call North package room. My boyfriend’s package was delivered to CTF but he did not receive it before he was transferred. He said he told staff that he had package waiting for him, and asked them if they could put it with his property so it would go with him to Avenal…. but it didn’t happen that way.
You said they told you 6-8 weeks for the package to get from North to South, I wonder how long it will take for his package to get from CTF to Avenal….LOL
