Dear family and friends,

I am sharing this message from Chaplain Paul Beighley who will meet with Walter Mickens on Monday morning. Walter is scheduled to be executed by the Commonwealth of Virginia on June 12th.

Please have Paul, Walter Mickens, the family of the victims and Walter's family in your thoughts and prayers as Virginia begins the gruesome work of executing another man.

Subject: prayer for me for execution duty




I would like for you to keep me in special prayer. I am to be on call as a chaplain for a man to be executed in our facility on June 12th, Walter Mickens. I go to meet him at Sussex I Monday morning. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you Paul. My calendar has the scripture; John 1:9 for June 12: If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness; that is for Walter.
For you the scripture is: Jeremiah 1:9; Then the Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me:"Behold I have put My words in your mouth.

Prayers for all involved, especially for the executioner. One day he will need it.

May our Father in Heaven stand with Paul in his last hours... May he hold the hands of his family and give them peace.... I know Paul is ready to meet his Father in Heaven.... May Father give him peace and forgive him his sins. May he live in Heaven until the last days and be Judged with the rest of us who are left behind...
