To help speed up the process can I go to the BOP website and print off the visitation approval form and NCIC form, fill it out and send it to him myself?? Or better yet forward it to the facility that he will be going too?? Or are the forms different for each facility and must HE send them to me?? I just know I want to get the ball rolling and get approved sooner then later. I have heard it can take 3-6 weeks to get approved??!! WOW!

Whether you print the form or receive it from him, it must go to his counselor, not to him. If you send it directly to him, it will be discarded. Once he arrives, you can find out who is counselor is and send it to his/her attention.

Do NOT use the form from online. I have heard they do not accept that. He can send you the form and you fill it out and send it to his counselor, not to him (as stated above). Zelda

i just took my hubby to mckean and told the man at the desk that i had printed it off of the site and asked if i could give it to him. he told me to send it to the counselor as well. he didn't say that it couldn't come from the internet though. i'll let you know if it comes back.

he also told me that i should get expidited through pretty quickly since i am listed in his PSI.
