Here you can post pretty much anything you wanna talk about as long as you stay within PTO's guidelines and rules! Ok Ill start off. I am leavin here in about an hour to make that drive (252 Miles) to see my babe for tomorrow (Sunday)!!!! I am so excited. My mother-in-law is here from Texas and we are going together (( this will be interesting)). My husband hasnt seen her since 2003 so its been awhile!!! Ill be back tomorrow night so Ill keep you posted on how the visit went! Have a good weekend!!!!!!

I got a phone call... as you may all remember my honey was moved to Jamestown a few weeks ago (I just cant get away from the CCI forum). He has to sign up for phone calls and its first come first serve... we only had 5 minutes but it was a great 5 minutes (even though I had to share with the 2 kids). What bugs me is right in the middle you get that lovely voice "this is MCI..." no kidding... you said that in the beginning now give me my three seconds back!

Well I just got done frying some chicken and makin mashed potatoes... My daughter is in trouble for making a bad choice and my son has a bad headache... I am sleepy and irritable and I wish that this 11 months and 13 days would go by faster than it is. Its a trip, sometimes it goes really fast and others it goes at a snails pace. I am thamkful for PTO because I have something to do when I am bored and that clock doesnt seem like its ticking... BVN has had bomb threads lately and we have had alot of newcomers check out our forum. We all need to stay positive and up beat! I noticed that one of the threads got a little crazy again. I am not even going there...... This is where I find peace of mind talkin to all my sisters that I have recently found! Ok, so I am feeling pretty good about now! I just got a call from my babyboy and we got to talk for 20 min! Between him being in the SHU and then locked down, we haven't been able to talk on the phone in 2 1/2 years!!!! We just got our contact visits back in Jan, so I was so excited! And to make things even better, after we got off the phone I went out to check the mail and there was a beautiful 4 page letter in there from him! So I am feeling a bit spoiled right now as well.:D You know it seems to make all the sacrafices I make for him all that much better! Ok here it is the notorious CCI chat I was talkin about... Dang I had to dig it up from dinosaur land.. Anyways today is Monday, yuck..... Mondays always drag for me. I have 8 more days of school/work and we will be out on summer recess. Yay for that. It has been hot as heck down here in San Diego. Of coarse I live inland so it is alot hotter than the coastal citys. On Sat.. it was 100 degress! It is way to early in the summer for that already thats how I know its gonna be a hot one! Ahhhh Graduation. I was supposed to see my son graduate from 8th grade tomorrow but although they are passing him and sending him to HS they won't let him participate in graduation due to his grades. Seems kind of messed up to me. If he passes, he passes and should get to participate in the ceremony. I hate public schools. I agree though that you should all have a great day!!

my bf suggests you call and talk to any counselor you can get on the phone to see what is going on. I don't know the mail situation at CCI but in Chino it is ridiculously slow. diamond, congrats on less than 8 months left. Time is flying by. My guy has been out almost 4 months now. It's almost a record.

As you know my, son is in CCI. We have invited his girlfriend and 13 year old child to come and live with us until he is released. We have never met her or know a whole lot about her. My question is. is this the right thing to do? She has no place to go so we feel it would put my son at ease knowing she and her child are safe and she will have some stability in her life. We are just struggling with this and maybe somebody out there has some thought.

You will figure out if that is the right thing to do or not. If it was me and I knew that it would make my son's time a little easier knowing that they are situated then I would do it..... Just make sure you a clear about the rules and that everyone involved is on the same page etc...... Its kinda one of those LEAP things!!!! Thats my opinion.

The reason your threads were moved to Bull in Session is because the CCI forum is for prison related threads only except for one or two general chit chat threads, that goes for ALL forums not just CCI.Bull in session was made specifically for the general chit chat stuff.I'm sorry you all stopped coming here because of it however each California prison forum has the same policies, it is not just CCI I can assure you and it is done for good reasons not just to be nitpicky about things.

If CCI family members want to hang out in the CCI forum they should be able to. I still see lots of things in the CCI forum that you might say are not related to the prison specifically. For example "Visiting questions" shouldnt that be in the Prison Visiting forum????
Especially since we all go through the same issues with that particular prison, we do have that in common. I personally dont see what the big deal is. If we have to post in alot of other places it becomes less personal and more of a hassell to communicate with the people we have made friends with through our rough times. But hey thats only my opinion. I'll continue to stay strong through it all.
P.S. I was in no way trying to be rude or disruptive but only stating the way I see it!

I just was unsure as to why my thread was moved. It had everything to do with CCI. I said that i was happy to see the forum after a long time of not being in PTO and I was also interested in carpooling. To the best of my knowledge that had everything to do with CCI. I don't think that it was just miscelaneous chit chat about any other subject. Can you please tell me how we are "supposed" to write our threads, because I was under the impression that we would go to the forums and say what's on our mind and get advice from people that are in similar situations.

Threads are moved all the time, for various reasons.

Each sub forum is for prison information, questions while yours was a good question, it would pertain to more than just CCI it would pertain to all the CA prisons as to if it is done or not while inside.

I know it can be frustrating when threads are moved, I've had a few of my threads move (nope, Mods are not immune;)) but it is even more frustrating for newcomers trying to find information who have to wade through a lot of personal chit chat and relationship issues to find what they came looking for... Don't get me wrong, I love the chatty threads, and I've come to be quite close to a few members that I started getting to know through those threads, but we have an obligation to make it as easy as possible to find the "meat", so some of the "gravy" has to get moved.

Oh, I understand now! No worries here, it just seems like the same threads keep getting started over and over and it makes it very boring reading, if ya know what I mean. I haven't but I got a few listings for hotels and I think the cheapest and closeest I could find to the prion was like $42 or $45 a night. Which wasn't bad and the hotel owner only gave that discount to people going to the prison.

I'm cool with the big 6...... Besides I am not sure about a 40ish dollar motel in Tehach because all the rest are like 70-80$ check it out first girl, you dont wanna see any bed bugs!!! yuck!!!!!!!!

All the other one's were little hole in the wall places and they were all somewhere in the 40's....So Di are you going for sure??? & Rudy's gurl what about you? Well let the OG speak, The room that is in tehachapi(( with the tehatchapeons)) is the BATES MOTEL and it is 40.00 anight and 45 for 2 ppl.. and it is the CCI motel.. UGHHH!! the others are from 78-109.00 I have stayed at the travelodge and the Best western tryna Ball, and act like money aint a thang.. it was cool, but I like my Motel 6 because they leave the lights on.. Yeah.. and I wont be joining you guys sorry, but I hope we can arrange another time, and I wont letcha down....Holla

LOL The roaches at the motels don't scare me it's the tehatchapeons....They seem like a wierd breed of people...LOL We'll we will miss you!!! Okay well I guess I wont miss you too much since I haven't really met you! hahaha....But I will miss maving the chance to meet you...There that's better....So how far is the motel 6 exactly??? And I mean at normal people speed because we don't all drive in BVN speed and shit!
